My usually high
strung TB/QH cross settled down within
minutes. He dropped his head and bathed
himself in Linda's healing energy. I can't
wait to get Linda back to my barn.

When I suffered a
painful rib break in a horseback riding
accident, I went to Linda for a Reiki
session. The treatment allowed me to relax
and get into a natural healing mode. I felt
immediate pain relief.
Our older horse has
Cushing disease with an onstage of
laminitis. When Linda started Reiki on him
he initially walked away. Once she focused
her energy towards his feet he stopped and
allowed her to treat him. In moments he took
a deep breath, yawned and relaxed.

Bob is low man on
the totem pole in our 3-cat household as
well as the eldest in the clowder. The
youngest discovered early on that he was
fair game for her to pick on. At first it
was obvious that she was just trying to
play, but as time went on she seemed to find
it much more fun (or powerful) to chase him
under the bed, or stalk him or, even
better, just to sit at the bottom of the
stairs and keep him from passing. Bob
became nervous, more timid, and anti-social
and this sometimes manifested to his
obsessive grooming where he would pull his
hair out. We sought help from our vet
and tried treating him with various
medications and foods for
"allergies", but all along we felt
that Bob's issues were more
complex and likely psychological vs.
physical. So I asked Linda if she
thought Reiki could help with either allergy
or timidity issues and she came to the house
a few days later to see him.
When
she asked what particularly we were
looking to accomplish with Reiki, my
husband and I both said the same
thing: "Confidence". Bob
was pretty tolerant of the process
and chose to sit on the arm of the sofa
while this human he had never met before
talked with, petted, and gave Reiki to our
ordinarily non-social cat over the
course of about 30 minutes.
In
the time since then, he seems to have
a very different attitude and
exudes a new-found confidence. He
holds his own with his housemates, will
stare down the female (without
being aggressive himself) and at times
seems like he understands that the chase can
be a game - if he gets chased into a
room, he will stop, turn around, and chase
the instigator back out instead of seeking
a place to hide and lick. We
couldn't be more pleased that he has
finally discovered his inner
"lion".
